Introducing Rice Cereal!

We introduced Rice cereal to Calli on Sunday and here is a brief synopsis of how things went down:

Calli says "Wow this is funny...Mommy keeps making faces at me to open my mouth"

At the end...Calli is cracking up. Apparently she enjoys being covered in cereal!

Calli says "Thank you God for this cereal, I had no idea how hungry I truly was, I LOVE this stuff!"

Random Pictures

Since I will never catch up to how many pictures I have actually taken in the vast amount of time I haven't been blogging, here are a few of my favorites of our little Calli girl.

Posing in the car in her sunglasses:

Horrible Blogger

It is the truth, I am in fact, a horrible blogger.

I have yet to figure out how to:
  • Work 40+ hours a week and spend sweet time with Calli
  • Clean my house and cuddle Calli
  • Make dinner on a week night and care for Calli
  • Do laundry and play with Calli
  • Update everyone on our life via the Internet and make Calli smile and coo

You see how everything revolves around Calli? AH...such is the life of a new mother I suppose. I don't know how to get anything done around here when I am with her. She just saps all of my attention! In a good way, most of the time :)

I may never figure this one out so if my house is less clean, I make less home-made meals, have laundry all over the place and do less blogging/posting pictures...it isn't because I don't WANT to do those things, it is simply because I love Calli and want to spend these precious moments with her watching her grow and being a working mom I just simply don't have as much time for the previous mentioned items as I did before. I will figure it out at some point I am sure, but for now please forgive me.

I haven't posted in forever so there is much to update everyone about but I don't even KNOW where to start so I think I will just go from here on forward. So here's hoping I can learn to update this thing more often!

P.S. I absolutely LOVED the crazy snow we got last week...what a wonderful pre-birthday present from God...I know he did that just for me :)

Calli & Lexi Comparison

This is a picture of me the day I came home from the hospital. I was 8lbs 15oz when I was born.

And here is Calli in the same outfit I wore home from the hospital 27 1/2 years ago. She fills it out a little more, but then again she is almost 2 months old now and probably weighs over 10 lbs!

Calli and Friends

As you may know from a several posts back, I had numerous friends who were pregnant while I was. So here are some pictures of Calli and her friends.

With Brooklyn, who is exactly 2 weeks younger than Calli:

With Riley and Jayden...all wearing bibs with my company logo, but I removed that for privacy reasons. Riley is about 2 months older and Jayden is a little over a month older than Calli.

And here is one of our first pictures of Calli smiling on purpose...it is a little blurry but it is the only one I've got!

And now for a couple of video's:

First Family pictures!

Well this is officially my last week off with my baby girl. I start work again on Monday. In a way I am ready to get back to work, but I will miss my precious time with my sweet little girl. So, since it is my last week home, I FINALLY convinced Chris to to shave off his nasty mustache and cut his overgrown hair...so we could get family pictures and Calli's 1 month old pictures. There were several good ones and many not so good ones, but we only chose 3 poses to purchase. Here are the results:

The last 3 poses are the ones that we ordered.

I cannot believe that she is already a month old! Crazy how fast time flies. She truly is a blessing from God and we love her so much! :)

UPDATE: I went back to the doctor today, and did not receive a pathology report. I did talk to the office manager (who handles all the medical records) and she had trouble accessing the hospital files and put a call in to the doctor who actually did the surgery. I forgot to mention that in my birth story...my doctor was also pregnant with her first child (a girl) the same time as me and actually delivered her baby girl on the 16th of October, 10 days before I delivered Calli, so I got the doctor who was filling in for her at the time. This was also a disguised blessing, for I am told that the doctor who delivered Calli is actually the best (OBGYN) surgeon at the hospital. Lucky me. Not that my doctor isn't qualified, I am sure she is wonderful. So that also I believe has added to the confusion of me receiving my results on the cyst. The Office Manager assured me that she would get the results and call me. I will let you all know when I find out.
