Ok, so I have decided that I am lame. I haven't posted a blog in a while, and I enjoy reading others, so why is it that I have given nothing for anyone to read? Oh, well I guess I couldn't think of anything to write about. Yeah, that's it. Not much has been going on in the life of Chris & I these past couple of weeks.
Our most exciting news/fun was meeting brand new little Miss Addison Mackina Bowden who was born on Thursday, February 21. I actually spent last Saturday at Eric & Kathy's and held her for a good majority of the morning. And yes I said morning. Chris and I got to their house at 7:30 am on Saturday. Chris, Eric & Kathy's dad all went golfing while us ladies (Kathy, Sierra, Addison & I) hung out and went shopping for a dresser. I have about 20 pictures from that visit to their house, but have yet to post them on the computer...yet again I feel lame-O.
Off the subject, funny story:
Last Thursday I allowed Chris (hehehe, allowed!) to drive the Caliber to work, because I wanted him to take it to the dealership and get the oil changed. Well when he goes to the car to leave for his lunch break from work he notices that the front right tire is flat. SO glad this didn't happen to me!
So he has to carefully drive it home and spends most of his lunch break messing with the tire so he can take it to the dealership after work. Then he is at the dealership and they call him back and tell him that the oil pan has a hole in it and has successfully leaked all of the oil out. WONDERFUL!! Luckily, this was covered by our warranty and we did not have to pay for it. We did have to pay to fix the tire, but that was expected.
I gave Chris a hard time about all these problems the ONE day that he drives the car to work...WHAT DID HE DO?! He swears that I must have done these things, but I am still firmly on the opposing end of that conversation.
Anyways, because they do not have the part in stock they have to keep the Caliber overnight and so we head to mom and dad's to borrow a car from them. We are so lucky to have parents close by who are willing to loan us their vehicles from time to time. It makes things so much easier.
Well we get to mom and dad's and practically everyone is there: Mom, Dad, Laci, Atlee, Connie, Mia & Jules. (Chris swears they were having a family meeting about us...he always thinks people are discussing him...I think he has a complex...haha) By the time we get there I am drained, tired from work, hungry, and tired of a car salesmen who tried to sell us a truck while we were there...grr. So I wasn't in the most pleasant of moods and I just wanted to get the vehicle and leave.
We walk in and the girls who are in the front room, all greet us and Mia asks Chris to come in there and watch their movie with them. He responds with, "Well Jules can stay and watch it with you" and to this Jules replies "No, my tummy hurts" Chris dies laughing because she was already in there watching the movie and it was funny to him that she was making excuses to not be in there. According to Connie, (who has heard this line before) Jules uses this line whenever she doesn't want to do something. It is still funny to hear from a 2 and a half year old though.
Also during this visit, Atlee refused to give me a hug, but gave Chris about 10...why is he so popular all the sudden? I didn't get a hug from her until we were leaving and then Laci had to tell her to give me one. When we were leaving Mia replied "Why did you come and stay for JUST ONE minute?!" Apparently we weren't there long enough.
Well obviously I did have something to say or this blog wouldn't be so long. Sorry! This is probably a boring one but it is all I have got for now. Talk to you all soon!
