Birthday Celebrations!

I had multiple birthday celebrations this year and it has been fun!

It all started last Thursday when my girl Ellie hosted a party for me in the purchasing department complete with BBQ, a yummy chocolate cake and a t-shirt for me, the special "official friend of purchasing" It is so funny that they did that, because they always call me their official friend! Haha! Here a couple of pictures from that one.

The next day, Friday the 13th, Ellie and Jamye arranged for a girls night out for my birthday. We ate at Zio's and then attempted to rush to the movies to see "Confessions of a Shopaholic" but the lines were so long we didn't get to the theater until after the previews had started. Luckily Jenn got there ahead of us and saved us some seats. Jamye and I are well known for laughing extremely loud in movies, especially when no one else is laughing and this movie allowed us to do just that. It was HILARIOUS! Kelsey was surprised that we laughed so loud, but in all fairness, she was warned! :) I only got one picture from my girls night out and this is it:

Rebecca, Sara, Anjolee, (me), and Connie

Those who attended, yet were not pictured: Kelsey, Jamye, Ellie, and Jennifer

I had so much fun and am so lucky to have such good friends!

On Sunday I had the typical "Family" celebration. We went to eat at Joe's Pasta and Pizza (YUM!) and then came back to the house to eat cake and relax.

This is my cake with the swirly candles

Everyone singing happy birthday to me. Atlee was cracking me up with her little clapping :)

Jules decided to put lip gloss on herself! Every time I look at this photo it makes me crack up!! She is so goofy!

How many people can we fit on our love seat? Four and not comfortably!

I got to keep the girls the night of my birthday because I didn't have to go to work until 1:30 the next day (technically I was supposed to be off for the President's day holiday, but I had a meeting to attend) This is a pic of them pretending to hold their breath in the tub. I will post pics of their stay later. They are always so much fun!

So even though I did infact become a year older, it was a great birthday. And I have one more birthday lunch this Sunday with Chris' side of the family!

Valentines Day

The singing card that Chris got me, it sings "Yeah, Yeah" when you open it up.
The rose I got.

The rose I got and the card I made for him

us with our stuff...aww
We spent the day at Grapevine Mills Mall walking and shopping. We had a great day. We went to see "He's just not that into you" and I would like to say that it was definitely not a Valentine's movie and quite frankly it sucked. But regardless of that we ate well at Uncle Buck's and it was overall a very splendid day!

Mavs Game

Well we got the opportunity to attend a Mavs game with Connie and Levi last Thursday and let me just say I LOVE THE MAVS!! Basketball is exciting, even if I don't understand every foul call. We had an awesome time, even if the Mavs did lose in the last few minutes of the game after they were ahead the whole time!! So sad! :( Here are some pics...

Connie & I...finally one of us where my face doesn't look gigantic next to her cute tiny one!

The Mavs warming up

A gigantic cookie I ate...so yummy, but I typically like my chocolate chip cookies light on the chocolate, this one had TONS of chocolate, so it was a little overwhelming.

The final score :( But the Celtics are doing really well again this year, so we knew it would be a tough game. Still sad though.
GO MAVS!!

Another Story and Announcement

Ok, so again the other night when Atlee was over, she said something else that was very funny. Well after the below mentioned video occurred, we did in fact go grocery shopping, Atlee and I.

It goes like this. I pull up in the Kroger parking lot, park the car, un-buckle Atlee, get out, go to the back door and open it for her to step out.

She looks up and says "Lexi, will you help me?"
I found this to be rather odd, since she typically gets out on her own with no problem, but I reach down and pick her up...to which she proceeds with:
"Lexi, You don't want me to fall do you? Do you want me to fall, break my body, then get run over by a car and DIE?!?! I think not!!! My Momma would be very mad at you if you did that."

Ok, can we say Drama Queen?! HAHAHA!! She definitely got this one from her Momma. Sorry Laci, but I can totally see you telling her this so she doesn't try to exit the car all by herself. Still made me laugh though. Such a long explanation for someone who is only 3 and a half years old!

And my announcement:

JAMYE HAS A BLOG, GO CHECK IT OUT!!!!

That's all, it is after 10 and I need to get in the shower and go to bed people! Good Day!

You want to watch WHAT??

Atlee came and hung out with Chris and I for a little while yesterday while her mommy and Blake went to see a movie. She was quite consistent on one thing...what might be you ask, well take a look at the video. It took me FOREVER to get her to say it again once I had the video rolling, but she quickly changed her mind. Funny stuff I tell you.

I feel the need to say, I think her version of "watching Chris" would just be to sit on the toilet while he is in the shower so she could talk to him. Kinda funny anyways how she changed her mind after she saw him in his boxers! HAHAHAHA!!!
