Rotten Dog!

I just decided to record a video of my rotten dog, proving to everyone how he runs from me for no good reason. He annoys me more than anything. Well enjoy!

This is the first half of his orneriness:

And now he becomes rocket dog extraordinaire.

Does anyone else see why this is more than annoying to me. Why does he do this, does he honestly think I am going to chase him? And why hasn't the fact that he has been neutered slowed him down a bit? Everyone told me that after he was neutered he would be more calm. Does this look like a calm dog to you?!!

Silly Girlies

Well on Sunday night, little Miss Atlee pressured me into keeping her for the night...hehehe. Meaning I cannot resist her when I am getting ready to leave and she says "I go with you" oh so sweet and innocent like. So we discuss this spending the night business in detail, because at first she says she wants to go with me but wants to stay the night with her mommy.

At this time it is 8:00 pm and her mommy is not going to come by and get her if she goes home with me. So she gets distracted and goes to play in her tent in grandma's living room, so I tell her bye, but she comes back with a pouty face, saying "I go with you Leh-key."

So needless to say, who can turn down a sweet little pouty face?! Not me, so she comes home with me.

We play and Chris comes home. When Chris first got home he was watching the end of a Mavs game he had on the DVR and he said "C'mon Dirk!" so here goes Atlee "C'mon Dirt." It was so funny! I guess it does kinda sound like dirt. We then watched Cinderella and Chris retired to bed halfway through. I am exhausted too, but is Atlee? Well, no, she is ready for some fun! We finally go to bed around 11 pm and I don't end up in my own bed until 2:30 in the morning, but not because of Atlee, more so b/c I was afraid to leave her by herself in another room and I fell asleep.

Well after we got up on Monday morning...Chris HAD to go and get her donuts (which she barely ate) and then HAD to wake her up to eat them. I gave her a bath and then this is what she played afterward.

Yep, she had to play in Spencer's Crate, and then you know she had to have him get in there with her.

She is such a funny one.

The Saturday night of last weekend, we had both Mia and Jules stay the night with us. They came over right after a birthday party on Saturday and Jules was exhausted, but refused to admit it you know, well this is what happened as soon as she lay still on the couch.

They are so precious when they are asleep! This little one is precious anyways, but I just love all kids when they are asleep, they are so sweet. Well while Jules was doing this, Mia was doing this:

Yep. While I am inside cooking dinner, Chris and Mia are outside hanging out with Spencer (for all I knew that is). Then Chris says, Hey, you need to come out here and get a picture of this. Well apparently Chris was raking the leaves up and Mia decided that she wanted to help, b/c you know she is Big. She felt like such a big girl and such a big helper, because she was helping out Chris. She explained that she was raking all the leaves in a pile so Spencer could play with them tonight and tomorrow. And that she would come out there and rake them up in a pile again tomorrow, so he could play again. She is so funny.
We enjoy keeping our nieces and nephew so much. They bring us so much JOY!

OH...deer!

Well as I was coming back from my afternoon adventure of delivering diesel fuel and a pole saw and spare chain saw blades, I pull up to our office and see a huge gathering of deer. It is not uncommon for us to see deer out in our neck of the woods here, you see, because our property borders the Fort Worth Nature Center. But this is the most I have seen in one place in a while. Deer are so fascinating and beautiful. I could never kill one. Look at how cute they were

This one you can just see 2 over the hill

There are six deer in the picture above but you may have to click on it to enlarge it to see all of them.

And this guy turned his little booty around and looked at me. They are very skittish but pretty.

On another note, here is my odd story of the day...shared to me by Miss Jamye T.

Well this afternoon Jamye was sitting quietly in her living room and all of the sudden heard a big splash from her mother's fish tank in the corner. Turns out one of the fish actually jumped out of the tank, committing suicide, because Jamye could not save it. Angel, the fish, jumped behind their couch in the very corner of the room and Jamye's arms were not long enough to reach her. Our assumption is she was ready to join the actual angels in heaven. Helen will be saddened over her fish loss and to Helen I send my deepest sympathies to losing one of her fish companions. Angel was a pretty black fish and will be deeply missed by the Trammell family.

Sorry no pictures yet

Well I am a dope and thought I would load you guys some pictures last night of the beautiful tile that is now down on the floor in our master bedroom, bathroom and closet. But I forgot (somehow) that our mattresses which are in the floor of our office (the only place they would fit besides the living room floor) are shoved up against the computer desk thus blocking the door to my computer tower. Which inhibits me from sticking my memory card into the tower to upload my photos. So sorry guys. I will post the before and after pictures later, I promise. Chris and his Pepa installed a new ceiling fan last night and are working on all new trim work and putting in a new toilet today. It will look so fabulous when they are finished. We have to wait 72 hours before sealing the grout, so my furniture will not be moved back into the room until this weekend sometime.

So I decided to at least give you a picture, since I promised one, but this one is of my desk at work.

So exciting, right? Hehe, well that is all. I hope everyone is having an awesome Thursday. I think I am taking off tomorrow and then Monday is a holiday! Yay for a long weekend!!

Thoughts to ponder

I believe…
That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for whom we become.

I believe…
That no matter how good a friend is, they are going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I believe…
That just because someone doesn’t love you that way you want them to, doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.

I believe…
That it’s taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I believe…
That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I believe…
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I believe…
That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I believe…
That sometimes when I’m angry I have to right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me to right to be cruel.

I believe…
That it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others; sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe…
That no matter how bad your heart is broken; the world doesn’t stop for your grief.

I believe…
That the people you care about most in life are taken from you much too soon.

I believe…
That life is more precious than money will ever be able to be.

Days off and Stuff...

Well, I took Monday and Tuesday off this week (wish I would have taken the whole week) and had two not-so-relaxing days off.

Monday - I woke up early...I had to have the dog to the vet between 7:00 am -7:45.

I then went to Starbucks and FINALLY after 3 trips to different locations requesting the same drink (not this day, but in the past) I FINALLY get my Caramel Apple Spice drink. And let me tell you...it was more yummy than I remembered. I sat and ate my cheese danish and drank my yummy drink in Starbucks for a bit.

Then when leaving it was school zone time, which I never get stuck in b/c I get to work at 7:00 am and leave at 5:30 pm, so all the while I am enjoying my yummy drink and irritating people behind me b/c I am in lala land having a great morning and this car tries to pass me, b/c I am actually going the 20mph posted speed limit, in the turning lane, but she does not see the cop car approaching us from the opposite direction until she swerves her car sharply to the left and then back again behind me. I let out a little hahaha, hehehe to this.

I get home, clean up the mountain of dishes left in my sink and across my kitchen counter from our party on Sunday, and fix my hair, then go to the doctor's office. I get to my appt about 5 minutes early thinking oh, well maybe I will get in on time this time. Oh no, I could have been an hour late and still been good. I am still in a great mood at this point even after not getting put in a room until an hour after my appt time, b/c I am still on a yummy high from my yummy drink. I talk to the PA, get my D-TaP shot, and leave 2 hours after arriving.

I run to Kohl's and shop for a bit, then proceed home to find my bedroom taken completely apart and spread throughout the house by my wonderful husband and his Pepa. You see they are putting tile in our bedroom and bathroom this week, so they took apart all of our furniture and were scraping the floors off when I arrived.

I then left again to meet my good buddy from the dentist office I used to work at, Gayla, for lunch and to get my x-rays to take to my dental appt. We enjoy subway, even though we had a bit of a problem with our payment, and then go on to Starbucks for a yummy drink as I take her back to work. I love that woman!

Anyways, then I forget what happened next but I get to my dentist appt 30 minutes early so that I can fill out paperwork, but yet no one is sitting at their front desk so I take a seat and read a magazine. Then the ladies notice me and I get another pile of paperwork to fill out that day (you see I had already done this at the vet and at the dr office). I get my teeth clean, it had been over a year so it was kinda painful.

All the while, my arm is now in severe pain from the shot I had received earlier that day. The nurse told me my arm would be sore, but I had no idea how much pain it would cause. Then I go to the vet, pick up Spencer, and head back home. I play with my very sedated and sweet Spencer then make dinner for my hard-working men and the go to Braums get ice cream and milk and come back and we have ice cream and go to bed.

Tuesday - My arm feels even more sore today, it was painful sleeping on it and I didn't get much rest. I now have an ulcer in the back of my mouth that is also hurting, my sinuses are draining and I feel like poo. What a day to have off.

I made bacon, biscuits and gravy for breakfast and then take Chris to the Dentist at 8:00 am and then head to cash a couple of checks and then to drop off some dry cleaning and then back to the dentist office to get Chris.

When we get back to the house, I spent the rest of the morning trying to feel better, while making thank you cards. Then I made lunch and went back to making cards, took at tiny cat nap among all the noise of laying tile and the re-roofing of our next door neighbors house. I went back to making cards and then decided I needed to get out of the house.

I then went to Recollections, because they are going out of business and I wanted to see what kind of deals they had going on, so I get a few things that would have normally cost me around $50 and I got them for $22.

Then I put gas in my car, picked up a few essentials from Kroger and get a call from my husband... He wants me to go and pick up a 50lb bag of mortar from Lowe's, b/c you know I am right there.

Well...I proceed to Lowe's at this point feeling even more horrible then I did earlier with my arm in severe pain, wondering how I am going to lift this bag.

I go back to the flooring department, call Chris, verify what they want.

I proceed to cause myself excruciating pain while trying to pick up this over sized bag of what feels like lead...only to find out that this bag has a hole about the size of my fist on the bottom and it gets mortar all over my pants, my new shoes, all over the floor, the cart, etc.

Then I proceed to still try to find someone to get some help, b/c I now am irritated, my arm hurts worse, my head hurts worse and I can't get anyone to help me.

Well finally a female who is working in the flooring department appears and says "Look what you did to my floor!" Haha...yeah lady you are so funny...I gave her an EXCUSE ME *with attitude* look and tell her that obviously this bag has a hole in it. She then suggests that I just take it to the front and get them to put it in a bag for me. WHAT?! I wanted to say, but held my tongue, "Look lady, obviously a lot of this stuff is on the floor and on my pants and everywhere else, I am NOT going to pay full price for a not-full bag of stuff!"

In reality I politely say, "Do you have this in a smaller bag?" and she says "Yeah (like in a duh fashion) right here."

Does she offer to help me? Does she offer to clean up the mess? Does she ask me if I need help loading the items? NO to all of the above.

So I am looking at the smaller bags and yes they have them but not in the right color.

Well can I ask her if she has the right color...Well NO because she is no where to be found AGAIN.

I then proceed to load another, without a hole, 50 lb bag into my cart and head to the front desk, leaving a white trail of mortar all the while.

Well, I am feeling absolutely awful and feverish at this time and now completely pissed off and there is a line.

The lady at customer service says I can help someone down here. So I move my cart in that direction. I proceed to tell the checker that I do not normally complain but I feel like crap and this lady was rude and I tell her the whole story. She asks if I want to talk to the manager and I tell her no b/c this is the Lowe's that Chris works at and I do not want to embarrass him.

She proceeds to pick up the torn bag, making an even bigger mess at her station, now I am sure that half of the bag is on the floor through out Lowe's and she puts it in their 'can't sell items' spot.

She offers to have someone help me put it in my car and I say that would be great. (Finally someone who knows customer service and has a heart)

Well I get outside, leave my cart up front in the loading area, go get my car. Sit there, sit there, sit there, I have groceries mind you...cold ones.

So I get tired of waiting...yet again I pick up the 50 lb bag sending my arm into deep distress this time and put it in my car. While I am putting my cart back a female finally comes to help me and she says "Girl...no you didn't!" And I say "I am sorry, I have groceries in the car and I am kinda in a hurry"

I finally get out of there, having a breakdown on the way home, crying because I feel like crap and am now extremely irritated and I have to make dinner, when all I want to do is crawl up in bed and go to sleep.

I make it home, Chris does the wise thing and gets the dreaded bag out of my car for me. His Pepa can tell I am upset but is afraid to ask, he then asks and I tell him the story and all is better. I just needed to get home! Well I make dinner, clean up, finish thank you cards and then watched Cold Case, ate some ice cream, took a shower and went to bed.

Now I am at work starting another week and wishing that it would snow or sleet so I could stay home some more. But it looks like they have taken that out of our forecast. Dern Texas weather.

I hope your Wednesday is off to a great start, mine appears to be ok thus far...my arm still hurts though. It is making me wonder what they put in that shot and if she hit a nerve.

I will post pictures of the tile progress later. It looks really great and I am super excited!
