Meet Baby Riley

I got to meet Riley today! He is super cute and so little! And Anjolee looks good!!! Congratulations Chris, Anjolee and Mckenzee on your new little man!

The last two photos are the same, I can't decide which one I like better.

Finally got to hold little Isaac!

What a cutie right?

The lighting on this one is weird and I tried to fix it, but this is as good as I can get it...

And here he is sound asleep while we (Chris and I) play scrabble with Joe and Misti

Pink Hard Hat

This was left on my desk today. Well technically not my desk, it was actually left on the desk right next to mine, but I was told it was intended for me (the person who deposited it didn't pay attention I guess). It is so stinking bright!! I cannot decide if I will ever wear it. I have been teased for a while now that they were going to get me a pink hard hat. Currently I wear a white one when needed. I personally do not want to stand out any more than I currently do when going to a construction site. But I have a co-worker friend, Ellie, who thinks I should wear it because it is "super cute" in her words. One thing I must let you know is that it is not as sturdy as the hard hat I currently wear. But I wanted to take a opinion poll.

If you were me and worked with all guys all the time, would you wear this pink hard hat??? Leave me a comment and let me know. Good day!

What the hell?

For some reason I find that phrase completely amusing. I don't curse and I don't feel like this is cursing...to each their own opinion. But I have a few instances where I would use this phrase and where this phrase has been used towards me...so here goes.

--------------------------------------------------------------

A direct quote from an email I received from a coworker: "What the hell do you keep it in your back pack or something?"

This made me laugh...because he was referring to a cake that I had baked and took with me when I left the office for a bit to visit a job site. I didn't carry it in a back pack though, just in case you were wondering. I just carried it in the 9X13 pan that it was in!! Sheesh!

--------------------------------------------------------------

The other day during a staff meeting I had a plastic horse thrown at my head. Yes, during a meeting. Yes, a plastic horse, you know the kind that kids play with when they get little plastic bags of "farm animals". Why this little horse was in our meeting, I have not a clue. Why the horse was thrown in my direction, I have not a clue. In all actuality, I believe the horse was thrown at a coworker who saw it coming and leaned out of the way, but it hit the wall and bounced off, slamming directly into the side of my head. Causing me to think "what the hell?" but I did not verbally say this. Seriously, who else does this kind of thing happen to?

--------------------------------------------------------------

My dog has been told numerous times his boundaries, limits, rules, etc. Yet he still continues to disobey. What the hell? Is he seriously stupid? I am beginning to wonder. Just the other day during our normal morning routine which goes like this: let Spencer out, let him back in, fill up water bowl, put food in other bowl, tell Spencer to lay down, once he lays down he gets to eat, then he plays for seriously like a minute (b/c I don't allow much time in my morning routine for this), I say "Spencer time to go, get in your crate", he gets in his crate and I lock the door. We have been doing this routine for a year and a half now. You would think he would get how it is all going down. But on Monday morning he decided to be a turd. We did the whole outside/inside eat food thing and then when I say my lovely quote to tell him I am leaving he takes off running around the living room. I finally get him on a fly by and spank his booty saying "get in your crate, NOW!" Then I have him cornered right in front of his crate, thinking I am victorious, but what does he do...well he sits his fat butt down right in front of the door to his crate and refuses to move another inch. To which I not-so-politely shove his rear in the direction of his crate. To which he responds with a not-so-polite GROWL. Yep, he growled at me. To which I replied in thought NO YOU DID NOT JUST GROWL AT ME!! But he did. Then I shoved him in his crate and locked the door, hoping I wouldn't experience his first bite. But he did not bite me and I got to say several times "BAD dog, VERY bad dog!!" And that is how I started this week off. Mean dog, brat dog. When will he start to behave?? I hope soon!

--------------------------------------------------------------

Now today it is icy and I am NOT using that phrase because luckily I was told to stay home today. So today it is just Spencer and I lounging in the house while Chris is off at work. Hopefully Spencer will not inspire the phrase at any point during today.

More pictures to update...

Mia and Jules stayed the night with us a couple of weekends back and here our some pictures from that. We love our girlies!

Jules and Mia on our deck

up close Mia

Uncle Chris squirting cool whip in their mouths...who wouldn't love him for that?

Their "tent" where they slept

Jules wearing my boots, such a stinkin' cutie right?

Watering the roses and I don't kow what they were doing with the cup, I think it was localized watering :)

I finally did something with my uppercase living phrase...so here it is TADA! You may have to click on the picture to be able to read the phrase. This is something I did while the guys were working on remodeling the garage. I will post pictures of that later...when it is closer to looking finished...it is still a construction zone.

Catch up

I promised pictures from our New Years...and even though it is mid-January now I feel like I need to still post them.

Jennifer, Kathy and I

Chris and I - I don't like this picture at all, but felt like I needed to post a pic of my husband and I anyways.

Atlee getting a new year's kiss from Wesley

Atlee & I

This is New Year's Day. Atlee HAD to wear a dress and her momma didn't pack her one, so we had to make do with a skirt of mine pinned together to fit her tiny little body. She told me "Lexi, this is SO beautiful...I love the pink flowers, did you know pink is my favorite color?"

And then on the 3rd of January was Misti's baby shower. Here are a few pictures from that. This is obviously pre-Isaac!

Misti

Misti and the cake, which was completely cute and totally yummy! I did not make it. I got it from Treat Me Sweet.

A new nephew!

Chris and I now have 4 nieces and TWO nephews! Little Isaac was born last night! Here are some cute photos:

He is so stinking cute! I didn't actually get to hold him because I haven't been feeling well the past couple of days and I didn't want to get him sick with whatever I might possibly have, if anything besides allergies :( this was sad, but I made up for it by taking 90 pictures of the cutie and there are always more days to hold the little man!
I am behind on posting, so you will get a new years post after this one, so they will be out of order, but I felt the need to share this blessing now! I hope the rest of ya'lls weekends are off to a great start as mine is!!
